Had a fantastic week with David, Jane, Maria & Lewis and of course Peluche?..had chosen Pila as a resort after Charlie had visited the previous season on a school ski trip. Had a few concerns over the size of the area for myself but can honestly say never felt like I was just skiing the same runs over and over.

We had everything from glorious sunshine to a few days of white outs but every day was great! 

David, Jane & the team were great, nothing was too much trouble and the instruction especially with little Alfie ? just 8 and skiing for the first time, who in the space of 24 hours went from being like Bambi on ice to racing down reds and blues determined to be faster than the rest of us!

The food was delicious and even got the kids eating a few things they would have turned their noses up at home.

Lewis very kindly gave Alfie a little ?BASI? badge as a parting gift which he now has as pride of place wanting to be a ?ski instructor? when he grows up!!

All in all a great week and we will be back!

Many thanks Jane and David for some wounderful days in Aosta. The weather was perfect, Pila the skiresort was a nice surprice and your hospitality made everything to a very nice package. And you also have some very nice customers that was the cherry on the top. Hope to see you soon again. Per & Christina

My son and I spent five days with Jane and David in mid January. I have been skiing since I was 15 and I can honestly say that this was one of the best holidays that I have had. The 'package' that is offered by Jane and David is truly exceptional and the skiing itself was sublime (wonderful snow, no queues, value for money). I could say more but need to get on with planning the next visit !

    Dear Jane, David & Jordan,
What a lovely week it's been - a terrific way for a solo skier like me to have the many benefits of your hospitality, ski field guiding and first-rate ski instruction! I was astonished at how much snow there was, by the way. It's a lovely region and such an easy way for us guests to see some of it, shown around by you, and drawing on your local knowledge. Your flexibility and patience in all matters was appreciated by everyone - hope to see you again.

We have just returned from a fantastic week with Jane and David and although we'd love to keep this gem to ourselves (and help ensure availability for next year) we can't help but tell everyone what a great time we had.

Jane and David really understand what their clients are looking for in a ski trip and do their utmost to ensure a pleasant, hassle free holiday. Everything from the airport transfers to the evening meals (they're both excellent cooks) and accommodation was planned to perfection and ensured that we were able to spend as much time as we wanted to enjoying the skiing.

On top of this Jane and David are genuinely really nice people who seem to really enjoy what they do.

The icing on the cake for us was the ski instruction that David, Jane and Jordan provided. We found them all to be excellent instructors. I have been skiing a few times before but had some bad habits and Alex had only been once before. Despite our differing abilities and needs they helped us both to improve our skiing dramatically, far beyond what would be possible in ski school and without the cost of either ski school or private lessons.

Jane and David's 'assistant' Jordan is unfortunately only a temporary addition to their operation but was also a qualified instructor, the best skier I've ever skied with and a really nice guy.

This was our first experience skiing in Italy and it certainly won't be our last. Pila is a lovely resort, not the biggest but it has some lovely runs (and great off piste) and there was plenty to keep us occupied for the week. For anyone who wants more there are two other ski resorts in the Aosta valley and you can buy a ski pass that gives you access to these. Aosta itself has a charming ancient centre scattered with Roman ruins and delicious and reasonably priced restaurants catering for all tastes and budgets.

On piste prices are also cheap compared to France and as a result we were able to eat lunch at a restaurant on piste even with a tight budget.

I have only one complaint about our holiday with Jane and David. They have completely spoiled us for the big resort packages with the big operators that we were used to. Our holiday was so nice and such good value that we're already trying to adjust our plan of skiing every other year to an annual trip to visit Jane and David in Italy!
